Samples in „Rosa Armee Fraktion“: Sylvia Rivera on Gay Pride Rally NYC 1973. Sylvia Rivera (1951 – 2002) was a Latinx American gay liberation and trans* rights activist. Rivera participated in demonstrations with the Gay Liberation Front and joined the Gay Activists Alliance. She left the group later because it was excluding of trans* people and drag queens. She co-founded the Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries – a group dedicated to helping homeless young drag queens, gay youth, and trans women – together with Black LGBTIQ* activist Marsha P. Johnson. Both, Sylvia Rivera and Marsha P. Johnson, should always be remembered for what they were: Icons of the international queer liberation.
